In this segment of my site I try to do three things. First, in the section called "Nutrients Overview," and its linked subsections, I provides you with the basics of nutrition and ties them to the foods we eat, because we eat food, not naked nutrients. I arm you with the vocabulary—the buzzwords you see and hear in the news, on Dr. Oz, as well as on the internet - to dispel the confusion they stir up.
Second, the section called "Resources" is an ever-growing list of the websites, magazines, newsletters, and even an article I wrote to help understand how to read nutrition news. The section also has a link to a non-profit national organization, "Wholesome Wave," who are working to increase affordable access to fruits and vegetables for people who struggle with hunger. I would greatly appreciate you checking out their link: No one should go to bed hungry and everyone should be able to get nutritious food! Again let me reiterate...I am not affiliated with "Wholesome Wave," receive no money from them, nor will I accept any. They are just a group that I want to help get as much public exposure as possible for the worthwhile efforts they've undertaken!
Third, the section entitled "Videos For Health," is a dynamic list of current sources I find most credible and I sometimes rely on myself. As new ones come available, I'll add them there. If you ever wonder about the credibility of a source, feel free to send me the link or the name, and I’ll check it out so you don’t have to. I don’t like to list disreputable sites because that just drives traffic to them, but I will happily deconstruct their messages.
I've also recently added a section called "Quick & Healthy Recipes," that pack nutrients and don’t take all day to make. Well, the holiday ones might take a little longer. Dig in!
